“star.dust” was inspired by the release of images from NASA’s new James Webb Space Telescope. Among the series includes images of the Carina Nebula, Southern Ring Nebula, and a series of five galaxies called, “Stephan’s Quintet.” The vibrant images of distant stardust and celestial spaces left me wondering: What would witnessing these cosmological dramas firsthand feel like?
After mulling over these images and my own thoughts, I decided to musically translate my imagined cosmic experiences. And so “star.dust” was born.
