Each movement of this suite of miniatures represents sonic tasting notes of each tea. “Twig tea” (Japanese “kukicha”) is a green tea and is bright, woody, vegetal, and lightly caffeinated. Pu-erh is black, fermented tea. Not for the faint of heart. It is smoky, earthy, somewhat bold, and warming. Oolong is a classic tea, somewhere between green and black. Grassy, mineral, herbaceous, and sweet. It is well- balanced and satisfying. Herbal tea is a broad term, but personally, I like mine with some mint and a hint of chocolate. It’s a soothing brew which can calm you down and help you unwind after a long day…
